Kevin Streelman will be teeing it up this week in Napa, his first PGA Tour event since tearing his meniscus in March. Kevin has not played a PGA Tour event since the Waste Management Open, after which he decided to take some time off to heal a bulging disc in his neck. Even though Kevin was not competing in tournaments during this time of rest, he did continue his work in the gym, which is how the torn meniscus occurred.
“It’s been a different season of life for me since I’ve been playing in tournaments consistently since high school. I’ve been blessed to stay pretty healthy throughout my career, so it’s quite a change to not be on the road. But this gave me time to see my family more, and see my kids compete in their sports activities, so that’s been the best part of this season. The Napa tournament is one of my favorites, so I’m pleased to be healthy again and ready to play.”
Follow Kevin and the rest of the PGA Tour at the Procore Championship, kicking off on Thursday, September 11.
